For Giant Step's annual Central Park SummerStage show in 2008, we put together an eclectic line up featuring; UK artist Jamie Lidell, NY’s Little Jackie, The then unknown Janelle Monáe, a young Jose James and UK’s Gilles Peterson DJing. Although this wasn’t Janelle Monáe's NY debut, it was the biggest audience that had seen her and this afternoon was an introduction to most of the people in the capacity crowd.
