Released in 1981, Never Too Much was the debut solo album from Luther Vandross. The album peaked at #19 on the Billboard 200, previuosly known as Pop Albums, and went all the way to #1 on the R&B Albums chart.
Vandross was awarded two Grammy nomination in 1982 for Best New Artist and Best R&B Vocal Performance, Male.
The title track from the album topped the Black Singles chart for two weeks and his rendition of Dionne Warwick's "A House Is Not A Home" became one of his signature songs.
